Bryan
Vamp Biography
Bryan Vamp, lead singer/keyboardist, hailed from the City of Buffalo. Recently, he was infected with the Vampiric illness, which caused a radical change in the course of the music he once composed as a normal person. Abandoning his Classical routes, he is now playing dark songs highlighting his exploits as an “Ordinary Vampire” lurking around the Greater Pittsburgh area. He bellows tales of battle, romance and urban legend, while accompanying himself on a portable keyboard and drum machine, “vamping” bass lines with his left hand while harmonizing with his right. He has played venues as The Smiling Moose, Hambone’s Pub, The Eclipse Lounge, and The Keynote Café.

Bryan Vamp was born a person about 400 years ago, until,
“one night, a bat flew down and bit him on the toe.” and then, after that, he
began sleeping in and “wearing lots of black.” He now lives in a castle on
Stroschein Boulevard, where he enjoys taking long walks around cemeteries and
city streets at night, first hiding in the shadows, and then jumping out and
biting people with his sharp fangs when they walk by. He, however, is careful
to only extract a small amount of blood per capita, unless they are “really
nasty m---er f---ers.” He calls this, “Nature’s way of balancing things.”
He has the unique ability to “shape shift” into numerous forms to avoid the pillaging of angry townsfolk who do not take kindly to his presence. Some of his forms have included, but are not limited to: a swarm of killer bees, a million poison spiders, a thousand snakes, and a swarm of vampire bats. On nights of a full moon, he will occasionally “morph” into the form of a coyote and howl “songs of loneliness and despair” for most of the evening, before returning back to his coffin in his castle, when the bell tower has tolled six A.M.
He enjoys the company of humans and “promises not to suck you dry.” He prides himself on his self-control, and asserts that he is not "the bad guy.” On the contrary, he’s “trying to help you out if only you would let him.” He occasionally feels “Sorry” about the unfortunate incident of one night accidently extracting too much blood from one victim, due to the presence of a mysterious substance that was allegedly, “coursing through her veins.”
Recently, he decided to go to the store and buy himself a guitar, and has decided that he indeed does, “like to rock it” and will “rock you in the morning till the late night, and you say you are mine.” He is careful to say “Thanks” to the owners, workers, and patrons of any venue that chooses to have him perform. He encourages you to give him “One More Chance” by booking his band and he will be sure to “make you feel all right.”
